SHKS Architects promoted Matt Inpanbutr and Nelson Martelle to associate. Inpanbutr joined the firm in 2007 and concentrates on complex preservation projects such as the Legislative Building in Olympia and Lewis Hall at the University of Washington. He is working on the Bellingham Federal Building rehab. Nelson was hired in 2008. He has worked on projects at the University of Washington and Mitchell Activity Center at Seattle Central College, and is working on Seattle Fire Station 18. SHKS Architects designs buildings and sites, focusing on adaptive reuse and rehabilitation.
