BCRA named Don Mellott, Doug Oberst and Stuart Young as managing principals as part of a long-planned leadership transition for the firm, founded in 1989. BCRA also added four new shareholders: Paige Nilsen, director of marketing and business development; Gareth Roe, land use planning lead; Lori Robbin, interior design lead; and Ben Dort, civil engineering project manager. Rory Connally and Ken Rowan, who are among the founders, stepped down Jan. 1 They will collaborate with BCRA as leaders of a new independent sister company called BCRA Nexus, formed from the building science group of BCRA. Nexus provides building envelope design and commissioning, air barrier testing and forensic evaluation. Todd Wolf, BCRA shareholder and director of the building science group, joined Nexus as a shareholder. BCRA provides architecture, interior design, engineering, planning and landscape architecture, with offices in Seattle and Tacoma.
