In Tacoma, AHBL promoted Scott Kaul and Lucas Johnson to project manager, and hired Kyle Gysler as a project engineer, Kate Maxey as an administrative assistant and Amanda Parent as a human resources generalist. Kaul is working on a manufacturing plant for Oldcastle Precast in Frederickson. Johnson is working on McCarver Elementary in Tacoma. Gysler is in the structural engineering department, and was an AHBL intern. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering from the University of Washington. Maxey has seven years of experience, and was an office assistant at Pierce County Public Works. Parent has over six years of experience in human resources. AHBL provides civil and structural engineering, landscape architecture, community planning, and land surveying, with offices also in Seattle, Spokane and the Tri-Cities.
