In Seattle, Historical Research Associates hired Jackie Gonzales as a research historian. In Portland, it hired Libby Provost as a research architectural historian and Morgen Young as a project historian. In Spokane, the firm hired Kathryn Burk-Hise as a research architectural historian. Gonzales has a background in land-use history and holds a Ph.D. in environmental history from the University at Albany, SUNY. Provost works with the cultural resource management team to survey aboveground resources. She has experience in public history and historic preservation consulting. Young ran a history consulting practice in Portland from 2009 through 2016. She has experience in exhibit development, digital history and oral history for clients such as the Port of Portland. Burk-Hise has nearly a decade of experience as an architectural historian and historic preservationist. She has been a staff person for a local historic preservation advocacy group and a historic preservation consultant.
