In Seattle, McKinstry promoted James Miller to director of risk management, Thomas Tellefson to director of mechanical construction in Western Washington, Joan Smith to business development director for mechanical construction, Matt Nelson to director of preconstruction for mechanical construction and Sean Kennedy to chief estimator for mechanical construction. Miller was director of operations for mechanical construction. He will direct risk management for self-perform construction departments and projects in the Northwest. He has worked on commercial, industrial and critical facilities. Tellefson was business development director for mechanical construction. He now leads all Western Washington mechanical contracting teams with specific responsibility over client service delivery and pipeline development. He has worked on commercial, data center, health care, manufacturing and higher education projects. Smith will use her engineering capabilities and guidance to serve clients. She joined McKinstry in 2007. Nelson will streamline preconstruction activities with a focus on technology and process improvement. He has worked in the industry since 1999. Kennedy is a 17-year industry veteran with experience as an estimator and project manager. He joined McKinstry in 2007.
