In Seattle, Jared Smith joined Parametrix as a principal consultant working with clients on strategic initiatives and assisting project teams. Smith has 34 years of experience with a focus on transportation and transit design, including freeways, bridges, streetcar and light rail systems, bikeways, ferry terminals and arterial projects. From 2001 to 2013, he oversaw Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP) Northwest operations. He has been director of the Seattle Office of the Waterfront and the city's regional transit manager. Parametrix provides engineering, planning, and environmental sciences.
