Five new restaurants open at Sea-Tac

Sea-Tac Airport is opening five new restaurants today in the Central Terminal.

Passengers are also getting back views of the airfield through the terminal's expansive glass wall, can relax in new furniture and charge their electronic devices from new ports.

Here are the new restaurants: Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, which serves wok-seared items; Lucky Louie Fish Shack, quick-serve seafood; Pallino Pastaria, fast-casual Italian-American food; Evergreens, which serves salads, wraps and grain bowls; and Koi Shi Sushi Bento, a Japanese restaurant.

The restaurants are part of the first phase of improvements in a $16.8 million renovation. HNTB is the designer and Osborne Construction is the general contractor.

A second phase will add over 10,000 square feet of new dining space, with a second level on both sides of the terminal. It should be finished by summer 2020.

(Editor's note: This story has been updated to reflect that Mariners Homeplate & Dugout Bar is no longer part of the second phase. The port said it found some issues with the proposal it didn't catch earlier and decided to rebid leasing for that space later this year.)

The north mezzanine will contain a pub called BrewTop Social, with a full-service Salty's at the SEA seafood restaurant below.
