In Seattle, Hart Crowser hired Yumeng Tao and Michael Liu as geotechnical engineers and Ayla Heinze Fry, Tatum McLeod, Sabine Grupp and Sarah Strozyk as geologists.

Tao has a Ph.D. in geotechnical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and will work on projects involving seismic engineering and computer modeling. Liu has a master's in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Michigan and will work on high-rise, building and transportation projects.

Heinze Fry has a master's in earth and space sciences applied geosciences from the University of Washington and has been an earthquake program intern at Camp Murray for the Washington State Emergency Management Division. McLeod has a bachelor's in geology from Western Washington University. Grupp has a bachelor's in geology from WWU. Strozyk has dual degrees in geology and economics from Whitman College. Heinze Fry, McLeod, Grupp and Strozyk will support project construction including building, transit, military and waterfront development.
