Preservation grants available

Past grant recipients include the Ellensburg Masonic Temple Association, which received $1,500 to help rehabilitate the temple’s dining room.

The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation is accepting applications until Oct. 15 for the 2020 Valerie Sivinski Fund, which provides grants of up to $2,000 for preservation projects in the state.

Local groups have received over $155,000 in funding and services for 146 projects.

The application is at preservewa.org/sivinski. Winners will be announced at the Washington Trust's annual Sivinski Holiday Benefit in December.

Sivinski is a preservationist and longtime member of the Washington Trust board who died in 2000.
