Another winning project, designed by ZGF Architects, is a 450,000-square-foot hangar that was restored and transformed for Google employees in the Los Angeles area. It was originally built in 1943 for the construction of Howard Hughes’ H-4 Hercules airplane, the Spruce Goose.
