Capitol Crest OK'd for Seattle landmark status

Champion Development had filed plans to demolish the Capitol Crest Apartments and replace it with a six-story apartment building.

Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board designated the Capitol Crest Apartments as a city landmark on a vote of 6 to 3, with the exterior identified for preservation.
