Seattle-based BuildingWork hired Jake LaBarre as a senior project architect and project manager and Lina Gustafsson Moberg as a designer.
LaBarre is working on civic, community and nonprofit projects in the Seattle area, including a public library and a seismic retrofit of a community center. He has over 20 years of experience as a builder, architect and educator, including most recently nearly 10 years as an architect with The Miller Hull Partnership. He is a co-instructor at the University of Washington's Neighborhood Design Build Studio and is a lecturer, studio instructor and reviewer for Auburn University's Rural Studio. Moberg was an architect at White Architects in her native Sweden for nearly 10 years, where she designed and managed mixed-use multifamily projects with a focus on sustainability and community building.
