Coeur d'Alene, Idaho-based Verdis promoted Stephanie Blalack to planning manager. Blalack was hired in 2008 as a senior land use planner. She will continue to oversee local land use planning projects, but will now be involved with the engineering, surveying and landscape architecture for those projects. She has experience in all phases of land use planning, including subdivision development, conditional use permits, variances, zone changes and annexations. She previously worked in Kootenai County's Community Development Department and has a bachelor's degree in land use planning from Eastern Oregon University. Verdis is a woman-owned engineering, planning, landscape design and construction firm.
