Twenty awards were bestowed in the 70th annual Honor Awards for Washington Architecture held virtually on Monday.
Also, a Young Voices Selection award, selected by a jury of emerging professionals, was given out.
There were 103 submissions in the AIA Seattle program.
To be eligible, projects must have been built in the last five years, or initiated in that period if conceptual or research. They could be designed by a firm in Washington or by a firm outside the state if they are located in Washington. The winners were selected from three categories: built, conceptual, and research and innovation.
The jury was Tatiana Bilbao of Tatiana Bilbao Estudio, Marsha Maytum of LMSA and Pascale Sablan of Beyond the Built Environment.
The Young Voices Selection jury was Higinio Turrubiates of Integrus Architecture, Marquesa Figueroa of SRG Partnership and Molly Evans of Olson Kundig.
Co-chairs for the awards were Kevin Snook of ZGF Architects and Ming-Lee Yuan of Olson Kundig.
