In Seattle, Hart Crowser hired Lauren Phillips and Evan Capron as geotechnical engineers and Bret Buskirk and Curtis Smerdon as geologists. In Portland, it hired Ryan Lewis is an environmental engineer, and in Honolulu it hired Dennis Peters as a registered environmental manager and Michael Figueroa as a chemical engineer. Phillips has worked on high speed rail in California and a convention center expansion in Las Vegas, and done computer modeling to see the effect an earthquake might have on a liquid natural gas facility in the Adriatic Sea. She is working on projects for the Washington State Department of Transportation and the County of Hawaii. Capron has a geotechnical master of engineering degree from Utah State University. He interned with Hart Crowser and has returned as a full-time employee working on projects for the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, WSDOT and the U.S. Navy. Buskirk holds a master of science in earth and space sciences from the University of Washington and was recently a physical science technician with Badlands National Park. She will work on life sciences building development projects. Smerdon is working on landslide repair projects. He has completed projects for the Oregon Department of Transportation, the ports of Portland and Vancouver, Legacy Health, Intel, Weyerhaeuser, Portland State University, University of Portland, University of Oregon, Portland Public Schools and the cities of Portland, Vancouver and Roseburg.

Lewis has five years of experience that includes environmental services related to stormwater, water quality and mining sites. He is supporting environmental investigation and cleanup projects under an on-call contract with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. Peters has 29 years of experience with environmental planning, environmental site investigation and cleanup, and solid and hazardous waste management projects in the U.S. and the Pacific Rim. His clients have included the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, County of Kaua'i, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command and the U.S. Air Force. Figueroa has a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Stanford University. He is working on projects for the County of Maui and the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation, Airports Division. Hart Crowser, a division of Haley & Aldrich, specializes in geotechnical engineering, environmental science and engineering, stormwater services and resilience engineering.
