Construction to start next month on UW Tacoma's mass timber building

Large portions of Milgard Hall will be built using mass timber.

Work is scheduled to begin in September on Milgard Hall, a new $43 million mass timber building at the University of Washington Tacoma campus. The 55,000-square-foot building will house the university's Milgard School of Business, the Global Innovation and Design Lab, and the School of Engineering and Technology. It is intended as “a new hub for engineering, business and innovation” on campus.
