Architects at private New York firm want to unionize

SHoP Architects work includes Uber’s headquarters in San Francisco.

In a first for the industry in decades, a group of architects at a private architecture firm is pushing to unionize. As first reported in The New York Times, in December employees at SHoP Architects announced that well over half of their eligible colleagues had signed cards and pledged support for a union.
