CG Engineering has promoted six team members. Chevy Chase has been promoted to managing principal. Chase has over 35 years of experience in structural engineering. In 1997, he co-founded CG Engineering with partner Greg Guillen. Together, Chase and Guillen grew the business from a two-man operation to a firm with 30 employees and licensed in 12 states. Over the past 25 years, as principal of CG Engineering, Chase has mentored dozens of engineers, many of whom have gone on to have successful engineering careers at CG and elsewhere. In 2022, Chase will move from the role of Principal to Managing Principal for CG Engineering. Joe Galusha has been promoted from associate principal to principal. Galusha graduated from the University of Washington with a master's degree in civil engineering in 1999. Shortly after graduation, he joined CG Engineering as one of the company's first employees. Galusha holds PE and SE licenses in the State of Washington and is LEED AP certified. He specializes in structural engineering for residential, commercial, multifamily developments, and public infrastructure projects.
Mike Maechler graduated from Washington State University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering. Shortly after graduation, Maechler joined the team at CG Engineering where he has spent the past 17 years of his career. He holds PE and SE licenses in the states of Washington and Oregon. He specializes in structural engineering for wireless/telecom, senior and multifamily developments, and public infrastructure projects. In 2022, Maechler was promoted from senior project manager to the role of associate principal. Dennis Titus graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor's degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering in 1999. He joined the team at CG Engineering in 2004. Titus holds PE and SE licenses in the states of Washington and Alaska. He specializes in structural engineering for residential buildings, slope stabilization, building repair and renovation, and marinas and piers. He has also been promoted to associate principal.
Carolyn Jewett has been promoted from project manager to senior project manager. Jewett has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Clemson University and a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Washington. She has 22 years of experience as a structural engineer and holds PE and SE licenses in the State of Washington. Jewett has worked for CG Engineering for 18 years and specializes in structural design for churches and residential and commercial buildings. Jared Underbrink has also been promoted from project manager to senior project manager. Underbrink graduated from Gonzaga University with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He joined CG Engineering in 2007 where he has spent the past 15 years of his career. Underbrink manages CG's civil engineering department and specializes in engineering for multifamily developments, plats, and residential and commercial sites.
