New owner of Tacoma's Rust Mansion will restore home to its former glory

Burks has set up a website, http://www.rustmansion.com, to share her progress with the community.

Tacoma’s historic Rust Mansion, built in 1905 for metals tycoon William Rust (1850-1928), has its first female owner who is currently busy at work renovating and restoring the property. The imposing 10,81-square-foot mansion was purchased by real estate developer, investor and single-mum Ashley Burks in December 2021. Burks paid $2.5 million for the property. The house was not publicly listed for sale but Burks learned about the opportunity through her real estate agent.
