Building Work has two new team members. RJ Van Liere joins the company as a project architect. With nearly two decades of experience, he has deep expertise in design for K-12 and higher education buildings. Currently, Van Liere is managing construction administration on the Metropole project, designing a historic structure renovation for Fort Flagler State Park, and wrapping up a renovation for Seattle Public Schools.
Architect, Michelle Hill has been hired as a project manager. Hill brings over a decade of experience navigating Seattle codes with an emphasis on adaptations to existing buildings, including structural, energy, and accessibility improvements. Currently, Hill is overseeing construction administration for a facade restoration project on the State Capitol Campus in Olympia, and is leading an intensive renovation of The Seattle Public Library Green Lake Branch. Hill also serves on the AIA Seattle Board of Directors, leading the JE:DI Council.
