Nagele

Hewitt announced the promotion of Julia Nagele to senior principal. Nagele also serves as director of design – architecture, and is an assistant affiliate professor in the College of Built Environments at the University of Washington. Nagele has been with Hewitt for more than a decade and is responsible for the design of many of the studio's most notable buildings, including towers such as The Emerald, Mama Tower, Skyglass and 888 Bellevue, as well as the Capitol Hill Transit-Oriented Development and Luna Apartments. Her current projects include OneU and 1107 - two residential towers in the University District.

Nagele joined Hewitt in 2011 and was named a principal in 2018. She previously worked at LMN Architects and began her career at Ayers/Saint/Gross Architects. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Lehigh University. Nagele completed her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland's School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and this year, delivered the commencement address at her alma mater and was named a Distinguished Alumni. In 2021, Nagele was recognized by Seattle Met as one of the most influential people in the city.
