ZGF has promoted the following team members to pricipal; Kendall Strong, Marty Brennan, Justin Rabe, Flavia Grey and Chris Griffes.
Strong is an architect with nearly 20 years of experience working on complex healthcare projects, from outpatient facilities to a major children's hospital expansion. She advocates for the integration of sustainable design features whenever possible.
As a project manager, Strong is actively involved in all aspects of day-to-day project operations from programming through construction.
Brennan, AIA, WELL APA, is an architect, sustainability leader, and light health researcher with 15 years of experience. In addition to supporting project teams, he has helped developed multiple open-source tools for carbon reduction and daylighting analysis, co-authored applied research papers, and spoken on international stages about various sustainability and public health topics. He was also a light concept advisor for the WELL Building Institute.
Rabe, PE, is an architect and technical designer with extensive background in healthcare and higher education projects. His two decades of combined architecture and engineering expertise allows him to engage in all project phases, from developing design and phasing strategies, to ensuring the chosen building systems are compatible with the project goals, to leading construction documentation and administration efforts.
Grey, PhD, leads ZGF's firm-wide data strategy and research development efforts, championing the use of data-driven solutions to aid in design development, decision making, and performance evaluation across all project typologies and phases. As a Stanford University researcher, Grey has authored a variety of peer-reviewed studies examining the connections between building design, sustainability, occupant wellbeing and productivity. She regularly speaks and guest-lectures on these topics.
Griffes, RA, CDT, LEED AP, brings over four decades of experience as an architect and project manager, specializing in the technical components of projects and refinement of the documentation process. Today he spends most of his time staffing and hiring, ensuring that project teams have the right talent and staff are working on projects aligned with their goals and skillsets.
