Amazon opens phase one of HQ2 in Virginia

The development’s two office towers frame a new 2.5-acre public park.

Amazon opened the first phase of its new HQ2 campus in Arlington, Virginia, on Monday, May 22. This portion, called Metropolitan Park, is compromised of two 22-story, 327-foot-tall office towers — named Jasper and Merlin — that frame a brand new 2.5-acre public open space with a dog park and recreation areas. The new park will also host seasonal weekend farmers markets.
