Weinstein designing Champion's project

SEATTLE — It hasn't yet entered design review, but Champion Real Estate's much smaller student apartment plan at 700 N.E. 45th St. now has a new architect. Weinstein AU is designing the eight-story, 30-unit proposal. (Those units will likely be large suites with multiple bedrooms.)

The old plan, abandoned without explanation, was Weber Thompson's 21-story, 110-unit tower, which did have a master use permit. Victory at the U still seems to be the project name.
