Seattle land trust gets $10M boost from Mackenzie Scott

The trust’s Seattle projects include Village Gardens, a 16-unit townhome community in the Central District.

Author and philanthropist Mackenzie Scott has given $10 million to the Homestead Community Land Trust. The unrestricted funds, which the trust calls life changing, will support the nonprofit in its efforts to build and create more permanently affordable and environmentally sustainable housing solutions in King County.
