Engineering firm Simpson Gumpertz & Heger has welcomed Alex Kosis back as an associate principal, bolstering the company's expertise in building enclosure engineering consulting and sustainable building practices.
Kosis joins SGH's Building Technology group from Denver, Colorado and will partner closely with SGH colleagues throughout the United States, including in the Seattle office. He brings more than fifteen years of experience in the industry, specializing in roofing and waterproofing system design and repair, and thermal analysis for optimal building performance.
Kosis spent eleven years with SGH to start his career, joining the firm as a technical intern in the firm's Washington, DC, office and advancing to senior engineering positions in Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. Most recently, he has practiced in Denver and the surrounding region with several prominent building enclosure consulting firms.
Kosis is a LEED Accredited Professional, BD+C, and a registered Professional Civil Engineer in Colorado and California. He received master's and bachelor's degrees in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
