Trolls are popping up across Puget Sound

The latest troll to set up home in the region is Bruun Idun, who arrived in West Seattle last week. She was created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo in collaboration with Muckleshoot Coast Salish artist Coyote.

The Fremont Troll has some competition as a host of striking Nordic trolls have found their way to Washington and are setting up home at various locations across the Puget Sound region. The large sculptural trolls are made of 100% recycled materials (mainly wood) and are the result of an ambitious public art project by Danish environmental artist and storyteller Thomas Dambo entitled “Northwest Trolls: Way of the Bird King.”
