New library planned for Sumner

The Pierce County Library System bought the 1.67-acre property on Main Street East in 2021 from the city of Sumner.

The Pierce County Library System is planning a new up to 20,000-square-foot library in Sumner, nearly twice the size of the current 10,600-square-foot library, at a new location on Main Street East across the street from the Sumner Fred Meyer.
