Bears unveil plans for $4.2B waterfront stadium

The new stadium would be built adjacent to Soldier Field, which would retain its historic colonnades but otherwise be replaced with sports fields and gardens.

The Chicago Bears football team last week unveiled plans to build a fixed-roof stadium and multipurpose campus along the Windy City's lakefront that would cost $4.2 billion to develop. It would be just south of the nearly century-old Soldier Field, which it would replace.
