Protected bike lanes planned for Yesler Way

Proposed changes on Yesler Way between Western Avenue and Second Avenue include removing up to 10 parking spaces along the north side of Yesler Way, relocating a load zone to Post Avenue, and removing the diagonal bike crossing at Western Avenue and Yesler Way.

Transportation officials are in the early design phase of a plan to fill in a 600-foot gap of protected bike lanes between the waterfront and downtown.
