PDX’s new main terminal will include iconic 1980s carpet design

Construction of the new main terminal at Portland International Airport (PDX) is heading toward completion, with the $2.15 billion facility now tracking to open in August. When it does, travelers will find a familiar, and for many a comforting site, as a replica of the old airport's iconic teal carpet is set to be installed in arrivals and security areas.
