BELLINGHAM — Western Washington University has selected the design-build team of BNBuilders and The Miller Hull Partnership for a new Student Development & Success Center (SDSC) at its Bellingham campus.
The brand-new administration building will co-locate student advising, admissions and financial aid representatives and counseling and career development services. The university is yet to select the exact site for the SDSC, but it will be located at the south end of the academic core of the campus.
The design-build team will provide services for two phases of work and development. Phase one consists of working with WWU on planning and program validation, schematic design, and design development. Phase two will comprise construction documentation, soliciting and contracting with subcontractors, construction, project closeout, and the warranty period.
A total of 10 bids were received. The award amount has not been publicly shared but according to an earlier request for qualifications the project is estimated to cost $36.9 million.
