Pennsylvania A/E/C firm acquires Barghausen Consulting Engineers

Integrated architecture, engineering and construction firm Core States Group on Monday announced the acquisition of Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc.

Barghausen is headquartered in Kent and has been active in the local market (and nationally) for over 40 years, providing civil engineering, land surveying, architecture, energy system design, landscape architecture, permit expediting, and land use planning services. Local offices are in Puyallup, Chehalis, Kent and Richland.

Barghausen will now become a Core States Group brand. Core States Group was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The firm has 18 offices in the United States and Canada, including an office in Seattle.

Together, the newly combined entities have a total of 25 offices nationwide and over 600 employees.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed in a press release sent Monday.

Barghausen will be conducting business as usual under Barghausen Consulting Engineers until further notice.
