Ocean Pavilion opens today with a mission to connect visitors to the global ocean

    Portions of Ocean Pavilion’s facade are peeled away, offering glimpses from the public realm into the aquarium and its exhibits.

    Seattle Aquarium opens the long-awaited Ocean Pavilion today, offering the public a chance to come face-to-face with more than 3,500 tropical fish, invertebrates and plants, including endangered Indo-Pacific leopard sharks, rays, reef fish, seahorses, mangroves and corals, in three new habitat exhibits that together make up the largest tropical reef ecosystem in the Pacific Northwest.
