Board votes no on dojo landmarking

Board members deliberated for close to an hour, questioning “the significance” of making a landmark designation. The vote ended with six members voting yes and three no votes.

SEATTLE — The city of Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board on Wednesday voted against the designation of the University Way Apartments at 4750 University Way, once home to a dojo operated by martial arts icon Bruce Lee.
