The ferry of the future could be a hydrofoil

  • Kitsap Transit is set to receive $5.2 million for the development of an all-electric, zero-emission hydrofoil fast ferry for Puget Sound.

    Glosten and Bieker Boats are working on a scaled-down version of the 150-passenger Foil Ferry (full size show here), intended to prove the viability of the technology.

    It's all-electric, zero-emission, and headed for the Puget Sound.
