City of Seattle awards $22M for community-serving capital projects

The Cham Refugees Community of Seattle has received $1.7 million to support the construction of a new community center in the Rainier Valley.

A diverse mix of cultural and community projects, ranging from a new home for Muslim refugees in the Rainier Valley to the rehabilitation of a historic Columbia City theater, have been given a major financial boost from the city of Seattle.
