Mercy Housing to rebuild Lake City Community Center and top it with affordable apartments

The old center was housed in an aging building, constructed in 1955.

The DJC reported last April that Seattle Parks and Recreation and the city's Office of Housing were looking for a developer to rebuild the Lake City Community Center at 12531 28th Ave. N.E. and co-locate the facility with new affordable housing.
