Volcano visitor center reopens

CASTLE ROCK, Cowlitz County — Mount St. Helens Visitor Center is set to reopen on Saturday after a $1.2 million renovation by exhibit designer EDX Exhibits of Seattle, with Creo Industrial Arts of Woodinville building and installing the exhibits.

The Cowlitz Indian Tribe was a close partner in the work, and Washington State Parks and Recreation staff did the demolition and building prep.
