Wilburton hotel still happening

BELLEVUE — Kauri Investments and a Utah partner own a small doomed medical office building at 1300 116th Ave. N.E. That's a few blocks north of Wilburton Station, near Lake Bellevue. The land sale and initial hotel plan came last year.

Then, Baylis had been named as the architect. But in recent city permit filings, Johnson Braund has taken over the project. That now stands at eight stories, 174 rooms, amenities and 132 parking stalls. The proposal isn't yet in design review, and there's no declared timeline.
