Areas reopened at Legislative Building

OLYMPIA — The state Department of Enterprise Services has cleaned up and reopened damaged areas of the state Legislative Building after an intruder broke in on the night of Oct. 5.

DES is still assessing the damage, which primarily occurred in the rotunda and State Reception Room, but released more information Tuesday on its extent. The rotunda stairs were damaged, marble floors have minor surface damage, the state seal was scratched and several flags damaged.
