ACEC: Engineering firms still confident

WASHINGTON— Engineering firms nationally are maintaining confidence, while optimism about the broader economy weakens, according to the ACEC Research Institute's Q4 2025 Engineering Business Sentiment report released last week.

Most firms reported strong rates for their own finances, and the engineering industry overall. However, the sentiment about the overall U.S. economy fell, and expectations have turned negative for the national economy in the year ahead.
