    The Tacoma Armory was dedicated in 1909.

    Since it was completed in 1908, the historic Tacoma Armory at 1001 S. Yakima St. has served many purposes, from its original use housing soldiers and supporting cavalry training, to its latest iteration as a unique performing arts and rental venue — and even a brief stint as a jail in the 1980s.
