Army seeks private project partners

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Army has launched the Strategic Capital Initiatives (SCI) to speed up modernization by partnering more closely with private industry, shifting away from traditional contracting toward a more collaborative, investment-driven model.

Army officials say the initiative aims to align commercial innovation with national defense needs by co-developing projects that strengthen readiness, supply chains and the industrial base.
