New certification for tall building designers

In early 2027, the Council on Vertical Urbanism (formerly the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat) will launch a new certification program for professionals working on the design of tall buildings.

The Global Tall Building Certification program will bring together leading practitioners and academics “to deliver a rigorous learning experience,” the nonprofit says. Participating professionals will earn a certification demonstrating cross-disciplinary proficiency in tall building design.
