Downtown Bellevue park will honor Japanese Americans

A plaza, designed as a large-scale inlay map of Bellevue’s historical Japanese American farms is proposed for the downtown park.

A new name and commemorative artwork honoring the Japanese American community's contributions to Bellevue are in the works for a downtown city park. The currently unnamed 1.75-acre greenspace is located at Main Street and 112th Avenue Southeast, which is directly above Sound Transit's Downtown transit tunnel portal.
