    No longer an emerging construction technology, mass timber is an increasingly common feature across diverse residential, commercial, civic, and educational real estate in Seattle and Washington.

    A key player in the growth and staying power of the industry is the Washington Mass Timber Accelerator (MASSTAC). The nonprofit was formed in 2024 as an outgrowth of the Seattle Mass Timber Incubator Initiative spearheaded by the city of Seattle's Office of Economic Development in 2022.
