Architect restarts U District plan

SEATTLE — A long-stalled project in the U District is showing signs of new life at 5639 University Way N.E., on the north end of the Ave, near Cowen Park.

As the DJC reported early last year, would-be developer Minglian Realty put the four-story, 40-unit project on the market. It sold that December for $1.3 million to local investors including a principal at Studio19 Architects, which designed the project.
