AE billings show market challenges

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Architecture Billings Index fell to 44.7 from 47.2 in August, according to the American Institute of Architects and Deltek.

A reading below 50 indicates declining billings, and September marked the largest share of firms reporting decreases since May.
