Mortenson says local construction boom is winding down, but steel prices to spike

    The local construction market is still going strong, but the boom appears to be winding down.

    Last month Mortenson released its fourth-quarter 2017 cost index, and a key indicator — construction employment growth — is showing signs of leveling off after years of growth.
